the seven foundations
the living architecture through which consciousness becomes available to relationship
rewilding consciousness begins with what is already being lived.
the seven foundations are not stages to complete.
they are conditions through which lived architecture can become visible, relational, and available to form.
they can appear in different orders.
they can overlap.
one may become active while another remains quiet.
the architecture is living.
inhabiting
what is already being lived
inhabiting is always happening.
a body.
a belief.
a relationship.
a rhythm.
a memory.
a desire.
a distortion.
a possibility.
we do not begin by asking how to inhabit.
we begin by asking:
what are you inhabiting now?
what is inhabited begins organizing perception, body, expectation, relation, and what appears possible.

recognition
when the architecture becomes visible
what is inhabited can become so familiar that it disappears into reality.
a repeated response becomes personality.
a tension becomes normal.
a role becomes identity.
recognition begins when what has been lived can be seen as something being lived.
nothing has to change yet.
what has become visible?
recognition interrupts invisibility.
contact
when what becomes visible enters relationship
recognition allows the condition to be seen.
contact begins when it can remain present without being immediately corrected, escaped, explained, suppressed, or transformed.
the body enters the conversation.
the story enters the conversation.
the impulse to move away enters the conversation.
contact allows what is being lived to become more fully available.
what happens when you stay?
dwelling
the capacity to remain
everyone inhabits.
dwelling is acquired.
dwelling begins when contact can remain long enough for more of the architecture to reveal itself.
what first appears as fear may reveal protection.
what first appears as resistance may reveal discernment.
what first appears as desire may reveal a deeper movement.
dwelling introduces duration.
what becomes visible when you remain?
truth impulse
what is this movement serving?
within sustained contact and dwelling, different movements can begin to distinguish themselves.
fear.
habit.
protection.
performance.
desire.
memory.
strategy.
these movements do not carry a fixed meaning.
rewilding consciousness distinguishes particularly between ego impulse and truth impulse.
these impulses function as organizing vectors within movement.
they give direction to what a movement is serving, preserving, protecting, expressing, or becoming.
the question becomes:
what is this movement serving?
threshold field
where the familiar no longer has exclusive claim
there are moments when the existing architecture begins to loosen.
the familiar response remains available.
another possibility may also become perceptible.
opposing truths can remain in contact without requiring immediate resolution.
this is the threshold field.
the living between-space where the old architecture has loosened and the next form has not yet fully arrived.
possibility can remain open.
what is no longer inevitable?
form
when what has become alive begins to require shape
rewilding consciousness is not concerned only with inner experience.
what is inhabited becomes form.
and what becomes differently inhabited can begin to reorganize form.
a sentence.
a boundary.
a relationship.
a changed rhythm.
a decision.
a creation.
an ending.
a beginning.
form is what happens when something becomes lived.
what is asking to become form?
the architecture continues
form does not complete the process.
once lived, form becomes part of what is inhabited next.
the architecture continues to move.
the seven foundations are not a ladder.
they are a living architecture for recognizing how consciousness becomes lived, how relationship changes what is possible, and how new form can emerge.
you do not need to begin at the beginning.
begin where something is already alive.
